Poolside Conduct & Protocol
Swimming Auckland approved poolside conduct for athletes, coaches and clubs while competing at events.
- All swimmers must be supervised by a registered coach for all warm ups. If a swimmer is competing without their personal coach in attendance, then they must arrange to be supervised by another registered coach.
- All members are to direct any concerns or issues to the club Team Manager, as only Swimmers, Coaches and Team Managers have a poolside pass.
- Once a parent has made the Team Manager aware of their concern the correct action can be taken.
- If a parent becomes abusive to Volunteer Officials they will be removed from the venue and will receive a written warning. If this behaviour is repeated they will receive a venue ban, as this will not be tolerated.
- Auckland Swimming appreciates the work their Volunteer Officials do and without them we cannot run our competitive programme.
